Joulukortit / Christmas Cards

Tänä vuonna tein tälläisiä, varsin pelkistettyjä joulukortteja. Kuvasta ei varsinaisesti saa selvää tuosta hopeisesta rusetista, mutta pakko mainita, että löysin tälläisen ohjeen rusettien tekoon ja se oli tapa, millä vihdoin sain nättejä rusetteja aikaiseksi: Kirsin rusettiohje. Ohje on englanniksi, mutta siinä on hyvät ja selkeät kuvat.

Here is a picture of Christmas Cards I made for this year; quite a simple ones. Even though you cannot see the silver bow very clearly I have to tell you I found good instructions for creating a perfect bow. Joulukortteja / Christmas cards

Tässäpä tämän vuoden joulukorttimalli. Idean sain Heidi Ignatiuksen Muista kortilla! -kirjasta. Tosin muutin värityksen ja koristukset kokonaan, mutta idea neliöistä ja nauhasta tuli käyttöön.

Lähetän kaikille samanlaiset kortit, joten näitä tuli tehtyä enemmän kuin kuvassa näkyvät neljä. :D



I made some Christmas cards for this season. I got the idea from Heidi Ignatius' Muista kortilla! -book. However, I changed the colors used as well as decoration, but I used the idea of squares and ribbon.

I always send similar cards for everybody, so I made a bit more than 4 cards seen in the picture.

Joulukortit / Christmas Cards

Nonni, nyt on tämän vuoden joulukortit tehty. Ja vielä on hyvää aikaa kiikuttaa ne tuohon muutaman kilometrin päähän asiamiespostiin. :D Minähän teen aina joulukortit itse, mutta teen aina samanlaiset kortit kaikille, joille kortin lähetän.

Tänä vuonna tein maisemakortteja, minkä ohjeen löysin TaavaNainen ja Riiviö -blogista. Tein jopa aika tarkkaan ohjeen mukaan. Minulla oli erilainen kiekuraleimasin ja hieman erilaiset värit, mutta tykkään lopputuloksesta. Kortit ovat 2-puoleisia mustia kortteja, nostaa tuon kuvan hyvin esille. Tosin valokuvassa ei erotu ne hienot kimalteet, jotka korttiin sulatin.



Okay, I have finalized the Christmas cards I made. And I still have plenty of time to post those, since it is only 20 o’clock and there are only few kilometers to nearest post office. It is in the connection with gas station, that’s the reason why it is open so late. Today is the day when you still can send all the Christmas cards with lower costs – I think, this is the way how our post tries to get all the cards early enough; those will be delivered just before Christmas, so they have time to sort those out.

I always make the Christmas cards by myself, but I make similar kind of cards to everyone.

I made landscape cards; instructions were available on Taavanainen ja Riiviö –blog. I followed the instructions quite thoroughly. I did not have similar kind of twirl stamp and the colors were little bit different, but I like the result. Cards are 2 sided black ones, which brings out the picture really well. Unfortunately you can't see the sparkling glitter in a picture.

Joulukortteja / Christmas Cards

Viikonloppu meni samoissa puuhissa monen muun suomalaisen kanssa eli joulukortteja väkertäessä. Jotenkin tänä vuonna en oikein keksinyt, että millaisia kortteja olisin tehnyt, joten koko homma jäi todellakin viime tinkaan. Yleensä minulla on sentään idea keksittynä ja tarvikkeet hommattuna hieman aiemmin - nyt kaikki jäi lauantaille. Tästä johtuen ei sit ollut mahdollista tehdä edes kovin kummoisia kortteja, koska aika ois loppunut kesken.

Normaalisti teen täysin identtisiä kortteja kaikille, mutta askarteluliikkeessä ei ollut riittävästi samanlaisia 3D-kuvia, eikä myöskään samanlaisia tarroja, joten tänä vuonna idea ja sommittelu on kaikissa korteissa sama, mutta sisältö hieman eri.

Kuvat ovat varsin heikkolaatuisia, kun nappasin ne aamusella ennenkuin lähdin kiikuttamaan niitä postiin ja koska kyseessä on CD-kortit, niin CD:eissä näkyy mukavasti heijastumana minun käteni, kamerani ja osa mun aamutakistakin. :)

I think there were quite a many Finns who were buying/making Christmas cards during last weekend, since this Monday is the last day for sending those. Or not actually the last day, but after today you have to pay normal fee instead of special Christmas card payment. This was a special case for me, since usually I know what kind of cards I will make a bit earlier. This year I got the idea on Saturday when I was buying the material for the cards. Since I had to make all these cards during this weekend I had to make quite simple ones.

Usually I make similar cards for each, but this time I had to buy different kind of 3D-pictures, since the shop did not have enough same kind of angels or dogs or… So, this year I have same kind of cards, but not exactly the same.

The quality of the pictures is quite poor, since I took those early in the morning just before posting them. Since those cards contain used CDs you can see my hands, my camera and part of my bathrobe. :)
